MediaHQ is expanding into the UK and we’re looking for our first Sales Development Representative in the North West to help us launch. This is a genuine greenfield opportunity, you’ll be the one opening doors shaping the approach and building our UK pipeline from the ground up.


Designed for PR and communications teams, MediaHQ is the all-in-one media contacts database and press release distribution software with the mission to connect your story with your audience. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative focused on the North West of the UK to work with us. Depending on the candidate the work can be on a range from part time to full time or as an employee or a contractor. 


Our cutting edge software is the best, fastest and most accurate way to find the right journalists, build media and pitch lists in seconds, send press releases and get results.

What will you do? 

  • Research and build prospect lists of PR and Communications professionals who match our ideal customer profile.

  • Own the outreach: Make calls, write compelling emails and use LinkedIn to start meaningful conversations.

  • Qualify leads and book discovery calls for the wider sales team.

  • Manage and update your pipeline in the CRM.

  • Represent MediaHQ at industry conferences and events in the UK.

  • Work closely with our Dublin-based Sales and Customer Success teams to hit KPIs and drive growth.

  • Stay curious, keep learning about the ever-changing media landscape and how our solution adds value.

To do this you’ll use some of the following tools and tactics:

  • Collaborate closely with members of the Sales and Customer Success teams to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Update the CRM with relevant details from your work. 

  • Manage your own sales pipeline in the CRM. 

  • Act as an ambassador for MediaHQ at conferences and events.

  • Have conversations with potential customers to ensure that their needs and our solution overlap.

  • Intellectual curiosity - the ability to ask questions and learn about the media industry and the ever changing landscape.

  • A confident communicator: you can write clean, persuasive outreach and you’re comfortable picking up the phone.

  • High energy and resilient : motivated by targets and comfortable making a high volume of calls/emails.

  • Curious and resourceful:  able to research target customers and tailor your approach.

  • Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset, able to set goals and track your success.

  • Knowledge of SaaS or the media industry is a bonus but not essential.

  • A confident and authentic networker who can make quality connections.

  • Based in Manchester (or nearby) and excited to be part of our UK growth story.
